Tonight we’re in Nashville, TN, where Larry joined Ed Stetzer to address a consortium of denominational church planters. The twenty-five people in the room were responsible for roughly half of the 4000 churches that were planted in the U.S. in the last year. Larry spoke about church planting recruitment- how to mobilize qualified leaders to plant churches. His data came from a survey of the several different denominations that were present. We’ll see if we can’t get him to post some stats here on the blog in the near future.
Tomorrow, we’re headed to Lifepoint Smyrna to talk with a team that they’re sending to Belgium this Fall. They’re a globally-minded church, and God’s got them going in several directions to start church-planting hub churches. We’re glad to be partners and friends with Lifepoint. We wish their Belgium team the best, and we’re excited to hear what God is going to do through them there.
Watch this space for more information as we continue our end-of-summer road trip. If you’re in the Nashville area, send us an email or find us on Twitter- we’d love to connect with you if we can.
Oh, and if any of you can introduce us to Derek Webb while we’re in town, we’d love to meet him!
