A couple times each year, the Upstream Collective leads a vision trip. We’ve been to Barcelona, Madrid, Rome, Marseille, even Taipei. These trips are designed to help missional leaders experience international ministry in multiple contexts- church planting among nationals, humanitarian work among immigrants, and creative ministries across population segments. The goal is for each participant to see clearly what God is doing in major urban centers around the world, and to understand how their home churches might fit into that.
This isn’t a tourist mission trip. Jet Set trips are about connecting with nationals, unbelievers, and missionaries in order to get a better sense of what it means to be missional abroad as well as at home. You’ll hear from missionary practitioners, nationals, and church planters. You’ll walk the streets, adventure through international cities, and hang out with like-hearted leaders who think mission is central to what it means to be the church.
Jet Set Vision Trip: London and Paris, with Ed Stetzer and Daniel Montgomery. May 21-29, 2010.
