You’ve been praying. You’re a leader in your church—maybe one that could be considered a model missional church, or maybe one that is only beginning to explore what being missional looks like—and desperately are seeking the Lord for how He wishes to significantly impact your church and life. You’re willing to invest in whatever it will take. How much would you spend to learn His answer? What would you give to know?
How about a few hours each day for a week?
The next JetSet trip April 12-20 is taking pastors and church leaders to Prague, Czech Republic, and Budapest, Hungary, to interact with these unique European cultures and discuss what it means to plant churches in an international context. During the week Michael Frost, a church planter and author, and Upstream Collective leaders will lead conversations about what it means to be missional in these environments and how it applies to the specific situations of each participant.
One of those participants could be you. That’s right. You don’t have to pack your bags and jump on a plane for 10 hours to join the conversation. You may miss out on a few of the sights and sounds, but we are going to do as much as possible to make the conversation accessible for your participation.
During the trip Frost will be conducting two One Day events, April 13 in Prague and April 18 in Budapest, discussing, “Church in a Broken World.” During those two days multiple one-hour sessions will be recorded and posted online for you to view.
In addition, Frost will also facilitate a webinar dialogue, “Points of Tension: A Church’s Missionary Conversation with Michael Frost.” A live video stream will allow you to engage in the discussion with this traveling mission think tank and respond in real time with feedback and input right here on The Upstream Collective site, or via Twitter, others’ blogs and Facebook.
To participate in this event you won’t have to use vacation days. You won’t have to pay for plane tickets or lodging accommodations. But to get the most out of the conversations, you will have to commit. Schedule time in your calendar the week of April 12-20 to watch the videos coming from Europe. Read blogs about these conversation topics and respond. Give feedback. Pray. And share what God is doing in your heart through it all.
We want to hear from you, learn with you and give you an opportunity to share your thoughts and voice with others. Drop us a note or leave a comment here to share how you will be participating with us. We’ll be looking to include you in the conversation.

I am looking forward to being a part of the actual and virtual trip. We will have a great group journeying together. Hope to see a healthy group trekking along and giving input as they virtually JetSet with us.
I will have some guys trekking with us. Many of them are sick that they cannot come.
Is there a limit to how many I can invite to participate?
I will be here in Budapest waiting to slog around the city with the gang. Come one, come all!
Spooneyman – invite as many as you like. Unless we overload the internet, we’ll be fine. It may be helpful to note that the webinar we will be conducting at the end of the trip (details soon) will be limited in the number of participants that can interact in real time. Access will be granted on a first-come, first served basis.
This is an exciting thing to be able to hear / see Michael Frost talk about the church and Europe while he is there. I am looking forward to being involved in this.
This is going to be a great couple of days in Prague and Budapest. Looking forward to hearing from Frost, hanging out, and talking about the greatness of The Ohio State University.
Whether you’re joining us in Prague & Budapest or engaging with the sessions online, I’m praying that the ideas I share will be both stimulating and encouraging for you in your ministries, both locally & internationally. I think the dawn of the 21st Century will be remembered as the time when the church in the West rediscovered it’s missional identity and I hope events like this one will help to push us to that much-needed tipping point of awareness.
Pumped about being a part of the discussion…just wish I could be there in person!
I already know of a group of college students and another group of church planters that will be participating.
My Pastor is attending this trip April 12th – 20th. I am looking forward to hearing every detail.
