Sending Church Elements Cohort | September 2024

Whether you are a new missions leader or have been leading in missions for a while, the Sending Church Elements cohort can bring order to the sometimes chaotic work of leading missions in a local church. This cohort is designed specifically for leaders who want to explore (or further develop) their church’s ability to send their people on mission with the gospel both locally and globally.

The cohort begins in-person with a two-day introductory intensive. It then follows with online group meetings and individual coaching calls. This form of communal learning not only provides mutual encouragement, it also allows for shared ideas and best practices.

By the end of this cohort you’ll be given the tools to develop your church’s own missions convictions, mobilization strategy, and sending pipeline, along with processes to care for your missionaries and receive them back well.

The cost of the cohort is $1,250. Each additional person from your church is only $100. For the introductory intensive meals are provided. Travel and lodging are not included.

To sum up, the cohort will include:

• An introductory intensive in Bothell, WA, arriving on Sunday evening September 22nd and going all day on Monday through lunch on Tuesday, September 24th at Canyon Hills Community Church in Bothell, WA. This will be led by Upstream Equipping executive director Bradley Bell, Upstream Sending network director Dave Childers, and missions pastors Corey Mortimer and Aaron Brucks.
• Three online group sessions with Bradley, Dave, Corey and Aaron (October, November and December)
• Three online individual sessions with Bradley and/or Dave
• Resources that you can download and use for your church
